Learn about the fascinating history of perfume, our sense of smell and how important it was to our survival and how perfume became the massive business it is today. Hear the stories behind some of the current perfumes we know and love.

Find out about the way smells are extracted from fruits, roots, petals, plants and bark, but also why synthetics have an important part to play.

Explore fragrance families and sample a range of essential oils and fragrance oils, then try bringing them together to create your very own perfume.

There will also be retail opportunities if you want to take your perfume exploration a little further.

What could be more luxurious than creating your own signature scent for your special day? A very personal scent evokes memories and composing your own fragrance for your wedding day will help those happy memories last longer.

I have been involved with the cosmetics and perfume industry for over 20 years. Working with clients to create their bespoke fragrance is a privilege and something I love to do. I work with a range of 21 blends of fragrance, sourced from the world’s finest ingredients and created by Master Perfumer, Francois Robert.( Francois is third generation perfumer. He studied chemistry in Paris, then continued his training in Grasse and Geneva. He has been involved with the creation of lots of beautiful perfumes, most recently a first fragrance for Charlotte Tilbury.)

A personal consultation for a bespoke bridal fragrance takes about 2 hours during which you can sample each of the 21 blends, learn about their ingredients and how to structure a lasting fragrance. You will be taught to identify and appreciate the type of note each blend is and be offered guidance when you come to choose which to include in your own perfume.Choosing a name for your unique perfume is all part of this bespoke experience. A short time later a certificate bearing the name of your fragrance and its ingredients will be sent to you.

Signature Sophistication – from £85

This includes:

• 2 hour personal consultation in your own home 
   
• 30 mls glass bottle of your signature scent

Beautifully Bespoke – from £200

This includes:

• 2 hour personal consultation in your own home 
  
  
• Up to 3 perfumes in sample size (5 mls) bottles for you to trial before making your final choice
  
  
• 30 mls glass bottle of your bespoke perfume, with the name engraved on the bottle
  
  
• 20 mls purse spray containing your very own perfume
  
  
• For a double consultation to include a second fragrance, for the groom which would be in 50 mls hip flask engraved with fragrance name, plus a 20 mls atomiser with fragrance £350
  
  
• E-certificate(s) with the name(s) of the fragrance(s) and ingredients

• 2-3 hour personal consultation, in your own home or in a luxury hotel with a glass or two of bubbly

Perfume making parties make the perfect hen experience. With just the right amount of fun mixed with the wonderful world of perfume, guests have the opportunity to design a perfume individual to them.

Everything needed is provided – perfume blends, bottles and atomisers, information on the ingredients and how to create a gorgeous, lasting fragrance. There are even perfume quizzes and games if required. You just need to invite the guests.

All guests will be taken on a sensory journey, sampling each of the 21 blends and will learn some basics of perfumery. After selecting their favourite scents and a name for their perfume, guests just need to relax with a glass of bubbly and generally enjoy themselves whilst their fragrances are hand blended, ready to wear and take away.
